The Round Lake Area Exchange Club and NICASA are proud to announce the November hometown hero, U.S. Air Force Airman First Class Kathryn Nettleton an 18 year resident Round Lake Beach. Nettleton was registered for this honor by her mother, Nancee also of Round Lake Beach.
Nettleton is 2009 graduate from Grayslake North High School and a member of the American Legion in Fox Lake. She has served for almost three years and has earned several accommodations including National Defense Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Award, Global War on Terrorism medals and Air Force Training Ribbon. She is currently stationed at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona.
All heroes receive a “Hanging with the Heroes” care package delivered with a personalized “Hanging with the Heroes” t-shirt (donated by Artrageous of Hainesville), a piece of home and letters from Round Lake Area School District 116 students. With the support of this months sponsor NICASA, Nettleton’s care package will also include chips, snacks, crackers, candies and personal requested items. The Round Lake Area Exchange Club will present a plaque to him and his family on Wednesday, November 28 at 7:30 a.m. at Panera Bread in Round Lake Beach.
Any and all military personnel serving overseas or in the USA from any of the Round Lake Areas, Hainesville, Fox Lake or Ingleside qualify for the program.
