LCplJoshuaMaasThe Round Lake Area Exchange Club and sponsor, B.E.S.T., are proud to announce the February hometown hero, U.S. Marine Lance Corporal Joshua Mass of Round Lake. Mass attended Round Lake Senior High School for 3 years where he was a tri-athlete (football, wrestling and tennis) and on the honor roll. He graduated in 2009 from Wilmot High School.

He is a tank driver currently stationed in Afghanistan. His family was happy to have him home for the holidays and looks forward to his return from deployment. Mass has been a Marine for almost two years.
 
All heroes receive a “Hanging with the Heroes” care package delivered with a personalized “Hanging with the Heroes” t-shirt (donated by Artrageous of Hainesville), a piece of home and letters from Round Lake Area School District 116 students. Mass’ package will also be filled with tuna, peanut butter, beef- jerky, snacks and warm socks thanks to the support of this months sponsor Bringing Everyone’s Strengths Together, B.E.S.T. The Round Lake Area Exchange Club will present a plaque to him and his family on Wednesday, February 27 at 7:30 a.m. at Panera Bread in Round Lake Beach.
